Affiliate marketing is where an online business entity will collaborate with what is known as ‘publishers’- may it be bloggers who have a large audience, influencers who have amassed a loyal following, or those entities that can help promote the product of online merchants.
Most marketers would rely on an affiliate article as it serves a crucial role in enticing audience to click on a certain link and ultimately ‘convert’.
Today, I am going to talk about what an affiliate article is and how you can write a pretty good one that is always known to convert.
What is an Affiliate Article and Why is It Important?
Simply put, an affiliate article is a content piece that contains all of the information a potential customer needs to influence their buying decisions. It can be anywhere from how-to article or product review blog posts that contain information about a certain product or service.
The reason why this is important is that it can help with lead generation, as well as help gain as many people to convert as possible. As an affiliate marketer, it is your job to ensure that everyone who clicks on your affiliate links will buy those products in the end.
The article should not only be informative, but it should also have somewhat of an entertainment value as well. It should also contain relevant images that will tell your audience what the product looks like, as well as providing descriptions.
Now that you know what an affiliate article is, what are the things that you have to know in order for you to create a really good one. Here are some tips:
1. Create a Catchy Headline
Did you know that the title of your article is so important that if you have a really good one, you can expect a lot of people to click on it? No matter how good your content is, if you do not match it with an equally good headline, then you are not going to get really good results.
So, how do you create a catchy headline? First, you want to research a few keywords that you can use. You can add 1 or 2 keywords in the headline and the most important thing you have to think about is that all those words should come off naturally. In other words, it should not be gritty or look weird when a person reads your headline.
You can use keyword research tools to help you know if those keywords would provide the best search results as possible or not. Lastly, you can use CoSchedule’s Headline Analyzer to know if the headline you’ve created is pretty good or if it needs improvement.
2. Write a Compelling Introduction
The first two paragraphs of your article should be created in a way that piques the interest of your readers. One way to do it would be to ask questions pertaining to the common problems that your target audience face.
On the second paragraph, share a bit of your experience with the said problems and offer a sentence or two about providing a solution. Doing it this way will encourage your readers to complete reading the entire post.
3. Be Informative and Descriptive in Your Main Content
As for the actual body of your content, it is important that you provide all of the necessary information that your audience needs to know about the product or service you’re trying to promote.
Also, you need to make clever use of anchor words to embed all of your affiliate links. Do not rely on words such as ‘click here’ to put your links into.
If it is required, you can use bullet points, italics, bolds, and underlines to provide emphasis and to also give your article more structure.
